So what is a Structure of Interpretation? Each of us operates from our own structure of interpretation. These habitual patterns of speech, actions and judgments start to form from the moment we are born and are influenced by caregivers and our environment. By the time we reach adulthood, these habits become imprinted in our way of being, and we unconsciously show up in our world and relationships based on these perceptions. These unconscious patterns will keep repeating themselves until they are, somehow, disrupted.
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions……
Why does this keep happening to me?
How do I always end up in these situations?
How do I always choose the wrong person?
The coaching process helps you identify your structure of interpretation and how that influences your thoughts, actions and relationships.
Through mindfulness, we can be more intentional about what we do and say in certain situations and disrupt these unconscious, sometimes destructive patterns, opening you up to what you might not be seeing.
As an Integral Coach, I invite you to step back and consciously look at your own SOI. I will introduce you to several methods and tools that you can use to expand your SOI and bring more balance and CALM to your life.
An example of one of the tools we will use is self-observation. This entails a daily non- judgemental study of your personal and professional life and relationships. Through these observations, we can identify your patterns, for example, overthinking, perfectionism, rescuing, etc.
Once we have identified your patterns, we can then start implementing practical ways in which you do things differently to bring change into being.
